We are seeking a driven and experienced Magento Developer to lead our efforts in expanding our global market presence.
As part of our web development team, the Magento 2 Web Developer at Detectamet UK, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimising our e-commerce platform to deliver exceptional online experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:Magento 2 DevelopmentDevelop, customise, and maintain our Magento 2 e-commerce platform to meet business needs.Implement front-end and back-end changes, including themes, templates, modules, and extensions.Optimise the platform for performance, scalability, and security.Website ManagementManage day-to-day operations of the website, including updates, bug fixes, and new feature development.Ensure seamless integration with third-party tools and APIs, such as payment gateways, ERP systems (Sage 200), and CRM (Hubspot)Conduct regular site maintenance and apply patches to keep the platform up to date.UX/UI OptimisationCollaborate with the design and marketing teams to create a user-friendly and visually appealing interface.Implement responsive designs to ensure optimal performance across devices.Continuously improve the user journey by analysing customer behaviour and making data-driven enhancements.E-Commerce PerformanceOptimise site speed, checkout processes, and overall site performance to improve conversion rates.Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, implementing solutions proactively.Leverage SEO best practices to ensure high search engine visibility.Support our global network across multiple sites and languages.Collaboration and Project ManagementWork closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and IT, to align e-commerce functionality with business goals.Participate in project planning, providing technical insights and estimating development timelines.Document development processes and provide technical support for team members as needed.Compliance and SecurityEnsure the platform complies with industry standards, including GDPR and PCI-DSS regulations.Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect customer data and transactions.Analytics and ReportingUse analytics tools to monitor website performance, user behavior and e-commerce metrics.Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actionable improvements.This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented developer eager to take ownership of an innovative e-commerce platform and contribute to Detectamet UK's digital success.To thrive in this role, you will need a blend of technical expertise, e-commerce experience, and a proactive approach to web development.
