The school is looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to support small groups of children with learning difficulties, helping them access the curriculum and engage in school life.
You will play an important role in supporting their academic progress, social development, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to small groups of students with learning difficulties, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN. Help students develop social skills through group activities and one-on-one interaction.
Support children in building confidence, improving their communication skills, and managing their behaviour in the classroom setting.
Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to the SENCo and teachers.
Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience working in an SEN setting or with children with learning difficulties is preferred.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach are essential for this role.
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
A clear DBS check.
Legal right to work in the UK.
