English Teacher Sought for Esteemed Secondary School in Leeds
We are delighted to partner with a leading secondary school in Leeds, recognized for its strong commitment to academic excellence and student well-being.
They are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their vibrant English department in a full-time, permanent position.
Position Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire and engage students in the study of English language and literature.
You will play a key part in fostering a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking, empowering students to express themselves effectively and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities Design and deliver captivating English lessons for KS3, KS4, and KS5 students, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and resources.
Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing individualized learning strategies.
Collaborate closely with colleagues within the English department and across the wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Remain abreast of current developments in English pedagogy and curriculum, actively engaging in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
A demonstrable passion for the subject and a commitment to student success.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
