Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a stimulating and rigorous English curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
You will foster a love of language and literature, encouraging students to develop their critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes intellectual curiosity and academic achievement.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and across the wider school community to enrich the learning experience for all students.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to remain at the forefront of educational best practices.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in English Language, Literature, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Ideal Candidate: Passionate about English language and literature, with a strong commitment to student success.
Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
