Role: Wayleaves & Easements Manager Location: London [Hybridworking available] The Wayleaves and Easements Officer will be responsible for managing and securing wayleave agreements and easements for renewable energy projects.
This role involves liaising with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to facilitate the seamless development of our energy projects.
Key Factors: Wayleave Management: Identify, negotiate, and secure wayleave agreements and easements required for project development and operations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with landowners, local communities, and relevant authorities to promote understanding and obtain necessary permissions.
Compliance: Ensure that all agreements are compliant with legal and regulatory standards, and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records and databases of all wayleave and easement agreements.
Project Support: Collaborate with project teams to support site assessments, planning applications, and project milestones.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any disputes or issues related to wayleave and easement agreements promptly and professionally.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding progress, risks, and opportunities related to wayleave matters.
Qualifications/Experience needed: Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Environmental Science, Law, or related field.
Proven experience in negotiating wayleave agreements and easements, ideally within the renewable energy sector or utilities.
Strong understanding of land use, property law, and relevant regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Proficient in using GIS and other relevant software for land management and planning.
