Water Hygiene Engineer
Our client is looking for an experienced Water Hygiene/Treatment Engineer to join their growing team. This full-time position offers a diverse and engaging workload, ideal for individuals who are passionate about water hygiene and treatment services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive water hygiene programs. Perform temperature monitoring for domestic water systems. Carry out cleaning, de-scaling, and disinfection procedures. Chlorinate new incoming mains water supplies. Clean and disinfect domestic CWS tanks and systems. Collect and conduct bacterial water sample analysis. Service Thermostatic Mixer Valves (TMVs). Conduct thorough Legionella risk assessments. Execute pre-commission cleaning and back-flushing of plant equipment. Conduct chemical and biocidal cleans of closed water systems. Monitor chemical and bacterial levels in accordance with BS 8552 and BSRIA standards. Experience and Skills Required:
At least 3 years of experience in the water hygiene/treatment industry. Strong understanding of water treatment processes and related equipment. Proven problem-solving skills to diagnose and address system issues effectively. High attention to detail for accurate testing and record-keeping. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Benefits Package:
Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 per year, based on experience. Bonus schemes and annual performance bonuses. 25 days of paid holiday per year, increasing annually for up to 5 years. Company-provided van, mobile, tablet, and laptop. Standard work week from Monday to Friday, with overtime available. Additional Requirements:
Valid driving license (essential). CSCS certification (preferred). Enhanced DBS check (preferred). Willingness to travel (up to 75% preferred).
