Job summary
Warrengate Medical Centre is a busy and friendly town-centre Doctors surgery providing a full range of NHS services to a list size of more than 11,000 patients.
We are a high achieving friendly training Practice with an excellent reputation situated in the Centre of Wakefield close to transport links and local amenities.
We are committed to maintaining our high standard of patient care and customer service in a friendly and professional environment and we are currently looking a part time Practice Administrator to join our friendly team.
This is a permanent position.
The working patterns required are detailed below, however flexibility is required for covering annual leave and sickness absences.
Wednesday : 8.00am - 4.30pm
Thursday : 10.00 - 6.30pm
Friday : 8.00am - 4.30pm

Main duties of the job
The candidates we are seeking should be experienced indelivering excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism, discretionand confidentiality at all times and able to work well under pressure bothindependently, and as part of a team.
You will need to have excellent communication andorganisational skills, together with a caring and solution focused approach topatient related problems.
The main duties will be answering phones and dealingwith patients face to face, care navigating patients to the most appropriateperson / service to help, dealing with repeat prescriptions, scanning, managingpatient related tasks as directed by the Practice team.
You will have the ability to remain calm in difficultsituations as well as having the initiative to identify outstanding workloadand support the team in completing this.
Flexibility to cover colleagues annualleave and sickness is essential.
Full training will be given but Medical Administration andReceptionist experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.
