Job Advert: Warehouse Team Leader Location: HU7 Area, Sutton Fields Salary: £15.50 per hour (subject to increase) Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Contract Type: Permanent A leading client based in the HU7 Sutton Fields area is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their growing operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic team, with the chance to contribute to the smooth running of warehouse activities while leading and supporting a skilled workforce.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient performance and a high standard of service.
Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Monitor stock levels, order fulfilment, and dispatch processes.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all warehouse Health & Safety regulations within the team, conducting regular checks to maintain a safe working environment.
Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts (reach truck and counterbalance) as needed, ensuring safe and effective use within warehouse operations.
MRP System: Use MRP software to manage inventory, track orders, and ensure efficient stock control and data accuracy.
Training & Development: Provide training and support to team members, ensuring everyone is fully trained in their roles and adheres to company processes and safety standards.
Performance Management: Monitor team performance, conducting regular reviews and addressing any issues promptly.
Ensure high levels of productivity and quality.
Skills & Experience Required: Warehouse Experience: Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including man management and team leadership .
Forklift Certification: Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklift certificates are essential.
Health & Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices within warehouse and operations environments.
MRP Software: Experience using MRP systems to manage inventory, orders, and track warehouse activities.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, ensuring efficiency and high performance.
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth daily operations and order fulfilment.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members, management, and other departments.
