Job Description Warehouse Supervisor\nPaddock Wood\n£34,000pa\nMonday-Friday 8am-6pm - Must be willing to cover weekends/bank holidays and other shifts when required \n\nI am currently working with a reputable fulfilment centre based in Paddock Wood which is looking to hire a dedicated and highly experienced Warehouse Supervisor for their team permanently.\n\nThe Warehouse Supervisor will lead the goods-out team, overseeing inventory, order processing, distribution, and overseeing performance and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
\n\nThe ideal candidate will oversee the warehouse facility's daily operations by ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
\n\nResponsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor will include, yet not be limited to;\n \n* Set and monitor team KPIs to ensure targets are met\n* Host daily meetings with the warehouse team to review priorities, address challenges, and set objectives for the day\n* Provide training and development opportunities \n* Act as the point of referral for crucial cases, such as inventory discrepancies or urgent orders\n* Set up measures to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies\n* Coordinate annual stock take and cycle counting procedures\n* Follow proper slotting procedure to optimise warehouse layout and maximize efficiency\n* Ensure compliance with H&S regulations\n* Confirm order accuracy before shipping, ensuring high standards of quality control\n* Investigate incidents and issue reports to management\n* Foster a continuous improvement culture \n* Monitor productivity and stock levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes\n* Utilise experience with 5S methodology to maintain an organised and efficient warehouse environment\n* Ensure daily maintenance of warehouse equipment to reduce downtime\n\nCandidate Profile\n\n- Previous experience working in a similar fulfilment environment\n- Demonstrate strong leadership skills in a previous supervisor role\n- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics\n- Familiarity with relevant software systems and tools for inventory tracking and management\n- Health and safety certification preferred\n- Lean Six Sigma certification or training would be advantageous\n- Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle\n\nAt KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
