Warehouse Operator

Main Responsibilities:Goods InLoading and unloading delivered goodsChecking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been receivedRecording any damaged, missing or faulty goodsSigning the delivery form once satisfied that the delivery is completeStorage and Stock ControlAllocating storage space to goodsRelocating and re-stacking goods to make space for new deliveriesKeeping records of goods, their location and quantityUsing a PDA handheld device to scan in and locate the products from purchase order to product locationGoods OutPicking goods that have been ordered from printed picking listKeeping records of goods which have been pickedPreparing dispatch notes and labelsMoving and stacking goods ready for deliveryOther DutiesPerforming stock checks to ensure that current stock is correctEntering completed shipments into the UPS World Ship systemPerforming inspections on forklift (every day), racking (once a week) and ladders (as and when used)Person Specification:Proven experience in warehouse and distributionAbility to work under pressure to tight deadlinesGood organisation skills with strong attention to detailStrong team working skills with focus on good customer serviceProactive, hardworking and personable
