Role Overview: As a Goods In Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and ensuring stock is accurately booked in and placed in the correct locations.
Your attention to detail, physical fitness, and ability to work as part of a team will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: Accurately record all incoming stock, ensuring it meets the required Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Verify items against delivery documentation and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Place stock in the correct bin locations within the warehouse to maximise space and accessibility.
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant goods-in area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Handle customer return requests, including inspecting and performing basic tests on returned items.
Conduct simple functionality tests on returned goods and report findings accurately.
Collaborate closely with the Warehouse team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and stock accuracy.
Assist with inventory checks, stock rotation, and other warehouse-related tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or stock control role is preferred, but not essential.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately book in stock and follow procedures.
Comfortable conducting basic tests on products to assess functionality.
Physical fitness to handle and lift stock of varying sizes and weights.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating a proactive and flexible attitude.
A forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
