Our client is seeking a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is accurately logged, stored, and maintained.
Key Responsibilities \n \n Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload pallets of goods using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and storage.
\n Inventory Management: Log all pallets into and out of the storage area using predefined paperwork and handheld scanners.
\n Storage Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage areas, adhering to housekeeping standards.
\n Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack items as required, ensuring attention to detail in order fulfilment.
\n Off-loading: Assist with off-loading shipping containers, including ramp and loose-filled items.
\n Communication: Liaise with the Storage Supervisor regarding pallet deliveries and collections.
\n Stock Control Support: Aid in stock control duties as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
\n Self-Motivation: Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative.
\n Additional Duties: Support the Storage Manager with various tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
\n \n About you \n \n Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations is essential; familiarity with racked and bulk-stacked warehouses is highly desirable.
\n Forklift Driving: Must have forklift driving experience; a valid Counterbalance or Pivot Steer license is preferred but not essential.
\n Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is critical, as checking inventory accuracy is a major part of this role.
\n Physical Fitness: This position is physically demanding; candidates should possess a degree of fitness to handle the requirements of the role.
