We are actively looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team!
The successful applicant will be responsible for material and plant management in and out of the warehouse.
They will work with site teams to arrange deliveries and collections in a controlled manner to maximize efficiency and avoid excessive transport costs.
The role will involve keeping up to date stock inventory.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations: Planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
This involves establishing and implementing efficient processes and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
Inventory Management: Overseeing the management of inventory and implementing effective stock control measures.
This ensures accurate inventory records and minimizes stock discrepancies.
Logistics Coordination: Collaborating with suppliers, construction sites and transport companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
This involves coordinating transportation logistics, and monitoring delivery schedules to meet customer (internal or external) requirements.
Demand Forecasting and Planning: Working closely with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and optimize warehouse space utilization.
This ensures the availability of the right products at the right time while minimizing storage costs and maximizing efficiency.
Team Management: Leading warehouse staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of productivity and professionalism.
This involves delegating tasks, setting performance goals, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in the warehouse.
This includes implementing safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.
Continuous Improvement: Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the warehouse department.
This involves encouraging new ideas, implementing process enhancements, and seeking opportunities to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Person Specification Experience and Knowledge Essential: Proven experience in warehouse operations and logistics management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
