The primary role of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager is to be responsible for organizing the reception, storage, assembly and dispatch of Indian Ocean goods in and out of the warehouse.
You will liaise between stores and Head Office teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality luxury outdoor furniture to delivery an excellent Client Experience.
MAIN SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES · Leading, motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce (Team of 10) to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
· Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt (Goods In), order assembly and dispatch of goods., suppliers and transport companies.
Understanding of logistics, shipping and export processes.
· Liaising with transport and freight companies for national and export deliveries.
· Responsible for maintaining high standards of Health and Safety in the warehouse.
· Responsible for security of the warehouse.
· Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
· Overseeing & ensuring the maintenance of commercial vehicles, machinery, equipment and premises with associated administration.
· Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
· Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
· Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email/telephone/WhatsApp.
· Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate.
· Planning future capacity requirements.
· Organising the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.
· Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
· Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
· Overseeing & ensuring the maintenance of commercial vehicles, machinery, equipment and premises with associated administration.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED With a strong ability to communicate and manage both stock and your team successfully., You should be energetic and determined to drive the business through your understanding of delivery, motivation and best practice · Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
· IT Skills – highly IT competent across Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook etc) and both interested in and motivated by technology.
· Financially astute and numerate with the ability to drive efficiencies and develop the capability of the team.
Salary range £35-45K depending on experience.
