Job Description A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Ward Manager to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Thatcham, Berkshire area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers \n \n The combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats at the hospital provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation \n \n **To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin** \n \n As the Ward Manager your key responsiblities include: \n \n Managing and training of junior and nurse staff \n Working alongside the senior Nurse to manage the on call service.
\n Effective strategic resource management \n Supporting the implementation of local Clinical Governance Strategy \n Satisfactory completion of objectives as agreed at appraisal and monthly supervision \n Satisfactory completion of core competencies \n Serious incident reviews and implementation of recommendation \n Demonstrates clear application of continuing professional development portfolio \n \n \n The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: \n \n Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment \n Evidence of professional development, relevant skills and knowledge \n Relevant experience in a similar environment \n Proven track record of leadership and management skills \n \n \n The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £50,662 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
