Job summary Ward Manager Position - Castle Ward Caring for our most acutely ill patients is a vital responsibility and a key component of the Trust's mental health services.

We are pleased to announce an opening on Castle Ward, a 19-bed female acute ward dedicated to adults with mental health needs.
This 24-hour facility supports working-age women (18-65) experiencing acute mental health challenges.
As Ward Manager, you will lead with confidence in the daily management of the ward.

Your role will involve responsibility for clinical and financial KPIs, working collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary Team to uphold high standards of care individually and as a team.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Degree in mental health and social care or equivalent: 1st Level Registration (NMC,HPC) Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice Desirable Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership Masters Degree Experience Essential Post-Registration experience of working with adults with mental health needs.
Experience of managing staff and good leadership skills Experience in using psychological and acute interventions with up to date knowledge of evidence-based practice.
Highly developed clinical reasoning skills.
Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health Sound knowledge of clinical / risk assessment and understanding of confidentiality.
Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Care Programme Approach Desirable Evidence of involvement with research initiatives Skills and Competences Essential Prioritisation and resource allocation, planning and organisation skills.
Able to communicate complex and at times highly sensitive information to a variety to stakeholders IT skills- email, word processing excel, system use Good negotiation skills for conflict resolution Budget management.
Self- motivated with excellent personal management skills.
