£50,232-£56,784 basic annual salary.
4 shifts per week, 2 of these shifts will be supernumerary, with a requirement for on-call 1 weekend in 8.
Must have a valid NMC PIN (PRN Number is not acceptable). RMN or RGN.
Accommodation can be provided in some circumstances.

Job Description The post holder has overall management responsibility for a defined ward/clinical area to ensure high standards of care. The post holder will manage all aspects of the designated area as a free-standing healthcare enterprise. Key areas of focus will include healthcare governance, bed occupancy, control of costs, and management of human resources. The post holder will motivate, inspire, and enable the ward team to achieve targets and innovate new practices and services through visible leadership, ensuring a high profile and presence on the ward/clinical area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Healthcare Governance Lead and coordinate the multi-disciplinary team to ensure all clinical services provided to the ward function effectively to meet individual patient needs. Ensure clinical practice is in line with: The DoH guidelines on the Care Programme Approach (CPA) The Mental Health Act (1983) as amended by the Mental Health Act 2007 & Code of Practice. The Care Standards Act (2000) The Mental Capacity Act (2005) Ensure all patients have up-to-date risk assessments and care plans which address all aspects of need and are regularly reviewed and evaluated. Ensure all patients have outcome measures rated at required intervals. Enable and promote service user involvement. Ensure compliance with the clinical audit programme and that resulting action plans are formulated and actioned. Ensure all adverse and serious untoward incidents (SUI) are reported and subject to the appropriate level of review. Ensure lessons are learnt from SUI reviews and communicated effectively, and necessary action is taken. Ensure the ward has an accurate and regularly reviewed Statement of Purpose and Patients Guide. Coordinate and manage all visits by the Care Quality Commission, prepare responses to all reports from these visits, and ensure recommendations are acted upon. Ensure adequate provision of advocacy services to meet patients' needs. Lead on improving conflict management and focusing on incident reduction plans within the clinical area. Candidates will be required to have a 'live' NMC pin.
