Job summary We are seeking a Ward Clerk to join our friendly nursing team in an exciting and hard-working administrative role.
Main duties of the job Scanning and uploading documents Answering telephone calls and emails Being based on the wards and have the ability to move across all 6 wards when needed Assisting our nursing team with daily staffing levels and putting shifts out to NHSP Keeping staff informed of their training compliance and escalating when necessary To assist with the updating of all noticeboards and staff information folders To maintain strict confidentiality at all times Working with the wards towards CQC and NHSE requirements when necessary Admin support for the Ward Manager About us Come and work with us in the Garden of England where we combine exceptional professional development opportunities with a tremendous quality of life.

Job description Job responsibilities The post-holder will be employed in an administrative role based on our wards working alongside the nursing team, enabling the team to offer consistency across all wards in a variety of tasks, ensuring targets are met and providing nursing staff with valuable support.
The post holder will be educated to Grade 4 or above GCSE in Mathematics and English, or equivalent.

Your main duties will include: Scanning and uploading documents Maintaining filing systems in line with organisations policies and procedures.
Answering telephone calls and emails Being based on the wards and have the ability to move across all 6 wards when needed Maintaining the staff photograph boards Updating the supervision trees for the wards Assisting our nursing team with daily staffing levels and putting shifts out to NHSP Keeping staff informed of their training compliance and escalating when necessary To assist with the updating of all noticeboards and staff information folders To maintain strict confidentiality at all times Minuting ward meetings Working with the wards towards CQC and NHSE requirements when necessary Admin support for the Ward Manager Previous experience in an administrative and/or clinical role within the NHS is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, able to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing/challenging situations.
You will need to possess a sound understanding of confidentiality and be able to remain calm and professional when faced with changing or challenging situations.
