Job summary A great opportunity has arisen for a part time (15 hours per week) Ward Clerk to join our team at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, Bromsgrove.You should have good interpersonal skills and ideally have experience of dealing with members of the public.You will be required to assist in providing reception, admin and clerical support to the ward.
This role is an essential position within the ward environment with first class customer care integral to the role.Please note the Trust will not providesponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to workin the UK status.
Main duties of the job Duties will include:Ensuring all patient admissions, discharges, transfers, day cases and ward attendees/out-patients are accurately recorded and entered onto the appropriate computerised systems.Providing administrative support asrequired, for example, typing/word processing, data inputting, filing,scanning/copying, in line with Trust Policies and Procedures.Obtaining and retrieving records, as requested,liaising with patients, staff, health professionals or outside agencies.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook Additional criteria Essential You understand that we will not provide sponsorship to work for this role Qualifications Essential Level 2 qualification ( GCSE Grade 4-9/A-C, NVQ 2, OCR/ RSA 2, City & Guilds 2) in a Business Administration related subject OR Level 2 qualification in an alternative subject and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post OR Considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Experience Essential Recent, relevant experience in an Administrative/Secretarial/ Reception role Desirable Previous, relevant NHS experience
