Job overview We are looking for dynamic and motivated physiotherapists to join our musculoskeletal outpatient service at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
This post will suit individuals who have completed their core junior rotations within the NHS and those already at a Band 6 who are looking to consolidate and further develop their skills in an outpatient environment.You will be supported by experienced senior staff and will have the opportunity to develop both clinically and managerially, working with junior staff and students.
The department offers a friendly and supportive working environment which actively supports Continuing Professional Development, through an established appraisal system, in-service training, and post graduate library facilities.
Main duties of the job This post offers an opportunity to gain experience treating a wide variety of patients from rheumatology, pain team, occupational health, vestibular and a large Orthopaedic caseload as we are an Adult Trauma Unit.
Alongside a clinical caseload it will expected that you will take an active role in managing junior members of staff and students as well as participating and leading on project developments within the department.

Person specification Qualification Essential criteria Diploma / degree in physiotherapyHealth Professions Council RegistrationEvidence of CPD including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field.
Desirable criteria Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.Evidence of working in the NHS within the Musculoskeletal Out Patients speciality at Band 6 level.Involvement in CSP Special Clinical Interest GroupHydrotherapy qualification and/or experience Experience Essential criteria Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team.Contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff or students or assistants.Good level of clinical knowledge and skill in musculoskeletal field having completed Band 5 rotations in this area and have evidence of working at Band 6 level.
Desirable criteria Knowledge of the workings of community physiotherapy services and intermediate care services.Involvement in audit, research and understanding quality issues.
Skills Essential criteria Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate in a timely fashionAble to communicate information, written and orally, in a clear and logical mannerExcellent interpersonal skillsUnderstand the legal responsibilities of the profession Desirable criteria Presentation skillsContribute to the running of external courses.Evidence of participation in research/auditCompetent IT skills
