About The Placement We are searching for individuals to join our offensive security researcher summer placement programme for 2025, where you can develop your skills alongside some of the most experienced researchers in the industry. Over 8 weeks, candidates will: Receive instructor-led (in person) and self-led (remote) training to develop core skills in reverse engineering and vulnerability research.
Gain experience working alongside Interrupt Labs' researchers on real projects, allowing you to further develop your skills with their support and guidance.
Examples of projects may include reverse engineering complex malware samples, creating bespoke fuzzing implementations, and finding vulnerabilities in open-source software.
The programme starts on the 7th of July, and runs until the 29th of August.
About The Candidate Are you driven by finding vulnerabilities in software?
Passionate about understanding the low level programming of hardware and software?
Or even interested in reverse engineering complex systems like Android, iOS, or Embedded Systems? Regardless of knowledge and experience, we encourage all applicants to apply for this role who are going into their penultimate or final year of university.
This is typically seen as the 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies, or the final year of a postgraduate degree.
All applicants must be eligible for a minimum of SC UK Government security clearance also.
You must be passionate about vulnerability research with a basic understanding of this area, motivated to learn and eager to start an exciting career in offensive security research!
