Job summary To be the single point of contact for volunteering activity at the RUH, supporting the integration of volunteering with paid staff and ensuring that volunteers are appropriately trained and supported in their roles.
To engage with staff working with volunteers to ensure that the role of the volunteer is beneficial to staff and patients as well as identifying new volunteering opportunities within the Trust.
This includes in house and in reach volunteering services.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will lead on the Trust's newly revised Volunteer Strategy that includes 4 key areas of focus: 1.
To ensure an outstanding volunteer experience for all our volunteers 2.
To develop new roles in key services where volunteers can enhance patient and staff experience 3.
Increase the number and diversity of our volunteer team 4.
