Now looking to hire a VP of Business Development & Marketing to lead the commercial growth by expanding the customer base, identify new applications for the technology and implementing a go-to-market strategy. The role would work closely with the sales, marketing, and R&D teams, contributing to the companies go-to-market success.
Responsibilities Commercial Strategy Development: Define and execute a robust go-to-market (GtM) strategy for the product and future products, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals. Sales Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing sales team. Set ambitious sales targets, develop sales plans, and implement strategies to maximize revenue. Market Expansion: Identify new markets and segments within the life sciences sector. Develop targeted strategies to drive penetration and establish the companies presence in these areas. Marketing Strategy: Oversee brand positioning, lead generation, and customer acquisition campaigns. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure a consistent and impactful brand message. Strategic Partnerships: Leverage your extensive industry network to build relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners, facilitating large-scale collaborations and business development opportunities. Product Launches: Lead global product launches by working cross-functionally with R&D, customer support, and operations to ensure seamless execution and market adoption. Customer Engagement: Develop a strong understanding of customer needs within the biotechnology sector, enabling the company to better serve its market and anticipate future trends. Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates to the executive team, analyzing sales and marketing performance, forecasting future trends, and suggesting actionable improvements. Requirements 10+ years of senior-level commercial experience in Life Sciences, ideally with a focus on analytical instruments, bioprocess hardware, or similar. Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related life science field (PhD preferred). Proven track record of successfully launching products, expanding into new markets, and driving substantial revenue growth. Extensive network within the biotechnology sector, particularly in Cell Line Development, Process Development, and Upstream Manufacturing. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build, mentor, and lead commercial teams. Experience working in international markets and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
