The Vice-Chancellor Independent Research Fellowships are aimed at recent PhD graduates who are prepared to develop their own ambitious research agenda.
The fellowships provide substantial support, including: A Loughborough University academic mentor Dedicated training and development Specialist Fellowship advice Fellows will be expected to submit applications for externally funded Research Fellowships, helping to set them on a trajectory to accelerate their research careers.
One fellowship will be prioritized for an academic at immediate risk from war or conflict.
Minimum Requirements Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification awarded between 2 December 2021 and 2 December 2024. Corrections following the viva examination must be completed to the examiners' satisfaction by the closing date for applications.
Applications from diverse backgrounds and minoritized groups are highly encouraged, particularly those who may wish to work part-time.
