Job Description This new state-of-the-art hospital in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team.
The hospital will open as a 24-hour Emergency facility in Spring 2024, with the Referral Specialty service following in Summer 2024.
This facility will provide much-needed care for pets in the greater Halifax Regional Municipality and beyond, offering a collaborative and supportive environment for professional growth.
Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre Information The hospital will include several specialty services such as surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, exotics, radiology, and more, creating a collaborative work environment with an emphasis on quality care and ongoing professional development.
Departments The hospital will house several specialties, including surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, exotics, and radiology.
The team will be made up of experienced emergency veterinarians and specialists who will work together to provide the highest level of patient care.
Equipment The facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support both emergency and specialty services, with the opportunity for the new surgeon to have input into equipment selection.
Staffing Levels The DVM team will include experienced emergency veterinarians and specialists.
As the hospital builds, the new surgical team member will have the opportunity to shape the department's growth and work closely with other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
