Summerhill Vets, Summercourt Vets, Caerphilly, Wales We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our Summercourt clinic (part of Summerhill group) in the heart of the Caerphilly community. You will be sole charge, supported by our dedicated RVN (15 years' experience), SVN, 2 Receptionists, and Practice Manager.
You will see a mix of consult and surgery (usually Monday, Thursday, and Fridays are our ops days). Case continuity is actively encouraged, and you can follow up more complicated cases at our other sites if needed. As you will be part of a larger group, you will always have access to a wealth of expertise and experience.
If you want a mix of sole charge and working alongside other Vets, we are open to you splitting your time between Summercourt and Summerwood.
Fix or flex – find your perfect work-life balance Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that's why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Whatever you're looking for - we can adapt our rota to suit you. For example, compressed hours, condensed working days.
Typically, our full-time Vets work 40 hours over 5 days per week with no weekends. Our opening and closing hours are 8:30 am - 6 pm, so if you want a 4-day week, we can discuss making up the extra hours on a Saturday rota at Newport. There is no OOH. We would also welcome part-time applicants.
