Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Chesterfield.

Location : Chesterfield, Derbyshire Employment Type : Full or Part-time (Flexible working patterns available) Salary : £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience) Additional Benefits : Quarterly bonuses based on turnover and performance Annual salary reviews 8 weeks of holiday per year, plus an extra day for your birthday Generous CPD allowance of up to £3,000 All overtime paid in time off in lieu (TOIL) Good variation of consults and surgeries No out-of-hours (OOH) work Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough consultations and examinations of animals to diagnose conditions.
Perform a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Provide emergency treatment and care to patients as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other veterinary professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and overall health management.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Requirements: Must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a valid veterinary license.
Previous experience in a veterinary practice is essential.
Strong surgical skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
