Vendor Manager (Stoke)

Who we are looking for A Vendor Manager, who will provide support to the Head of Vendor Management in leading the organisation in technology supplier contracts, performance and relationships.
This role encompasses four key areas: commercial management, sourcing, financial management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
These areas oversee both CAPEX and OPEX expenditure in relation to hardware, software and associated services.
You will be responsible for commercial agreements and onboarding those goods and services with the relevant supplier engagement.
You will work closely with technology teams to deliver projects and new technologies.
This will include being principal for Vendor Operations, as well as commercial activities relating to technology spend and management of the contract portfolio for technology.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience Understanding of procurement and commercial principles.
Experience in Vendor Operations.
Leading commercial negotiation.
Effective management of suppliers.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
Strong planning and delivery skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Pro-active approach to workloads and changing environments.
Strong administrative skills.
Main Responsibilities Supporting the life cycle of contracts, renewing and terminating where applicable and supporting onboarding of all new vendors.
Reviewing contracts and monitoring vendor performance, enforcing contractual penalties where relevant, as part of an agreed contract management framework.
Working collaboratively to help establish new processes in relation to the implementation of new systems and the development of existing tools.
Maintaining and communicating a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) against approved product and service lists.
Working closely with Procurement and other key departments to maintain the Vendor Contract Management system information as per agreed process.
Utilising strong commercial acumen to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
Delivering cost savings for new goods and services and existing contracts renewals alongside improved terms and conditions.
