JOB DESCRIPTION AIM OF THE ROLE: The Vendor Manager is responsible for the management of multiple Third-Party relationships across the Connectivity and Communications division.
The primary aim of this role is to improve the supplier management effectiveness against the four pillars of risk management; performance management, cost management, commercial and relationship management.
The Vendor Manager is someone with drive, a starter-finisher who can see tasks through; meticulous and someone who's not afraid to ask questions and take ownership.
You will have a 'can do' attitude and take pride in the work that you do.
This is a busy and varied role, and the successful candidate will need to prove excellent communication, coordinating, planning and organisational skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not restricted to the following: Manage and monitor third party performance against key SLA's and KPI's, ensuring any contractual commitments are realised and that the appropriate remedies are implemented where appropriate.
Champion the management of the Supplier/s by ensuring the operational and business leads perform the required tasks and responsibilities on time.
Support the definition and execution of strategies to drive performance including quality, customer satisfaction and cost in partnership.
Be able to challenge the Vendor when required.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Support the development and optimisation of SRM tools, methodology and practices within a relatively 'greenfield' environment to implement a global best-practice approach.
Deliver the new supplier on-boarding process, contract renewals and changes, seeking feedback from Delivery colleagues which informs supplier selection and renewal activities.
Work closely with Delivery colleagues through attendance at Connectivity and Communications Supplier Service Review meetings to proactively engage with Suppliers.

Strong communication abilities, including strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to explain complex issues and convey information, both internally and externally, in an articulate and professional manner Experience/Qualifications: Prior experience in vendor management within the connectivity and communications space environment would be highly desirable, alternatively experience of working within the connectivity / communications industry.
Experience of managing / negotiating contracts and commercial terms and running complete tender processes CIPS qualification is beneficial Strong understand of the connectivity and communications industry including but not limited to VOIP, Wi-Fi, MPLS WAN, SDWAN, LAN and the contracts needed to underpin delivery of these services via 3rd party suppliers.
