Vehicle Mechanic

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to join a College in Stafford on a permanent basis.
Location:  Stafford Contract:  Full time Holiday:  48 days  ( 35 + Bank Holidays + 5 shut down days) Pay:  £23,100 - £24,500 Key Responsibilities Carry out safety checks on college vehicles, agricultural, horticultural plant and equipment according to legislation in a timely and effective manner.
To carry out servicing, repair and maintenance on all college vehicles, agricultural and horticultural plant, tools, and equipment, in a timely, safe and effective manner.
Carry out minor fabrication projects as required.
To prepare and issue tools to staff ready for practical lessons.
To cover for absent colleagues, as required  Assist the sites teams when required.
Requirements Right to work in the UK Previous experience in motor vehicle repairs A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Qualifications in use of forklifts, tractors or horticultural machines A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children
