Your new role Managing the end-to-end process of GB Whole Vehicle Type Approval applications.
Verifying the validity of said approvals for the relevant regulations and maintain this through to end of production.
Monitor end of series for derogation in both the UK and IE where appropriate.
Remain up to date and provide advise at an expert level on relevant regulations specific to the UK and IE markets, including emission regulations.
Liaise with central BMW departments, production plants and governance on matters relating to relevant regulations.
Support local projects and specialist sales with matters relating to relevant regulations.
To maintain own industry knowledge of emerging vehicle technology and impact on vehicle regulations.
To actively participate in industry working groups relating to vehicle regulations and type approval.
To develop collaboration skills when working with central and local departments to ensure the requirements of the UK and Ireland customers are best met.
Make recommendations for improvement of relevant processes within the scope of responsibility as required.
What you'll need to succeed BTEC or equivalent in general business administration.
BTEC Diploma or National Certificate in Automobile Engineering or NVQ Level 4 or 3 equivalent.
Expert knowledge of the legal aspects of EU vehicle construction & environmental standards, and/or vehicle type approval.
Expert knowledge of the legal aspects of vehicle registration.
Motor industry experience.
Computer literacy, Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) Must be able to communicate, negotiate and present effectively.
High degree of accuracy in data handling skills.
