Vehicle Diagnostic Technician

Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician Location: Old Trafford, Manchester Salary: £Up to £39k – OTE £47k Working Hours: 42.5 hrs Monday to Friday, Saturday's 1 in 4 – 8:00 to 13:00 We are currently recruiting an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician for our Old Traffic, Manchester dealership.
Key Responsibilities: Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
Ensure full understanding of the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above the work specified.
Check the level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out.
Liaise with Service Advisor.
Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
Complete vehicle health checks and CitNOW video in a timely manner (or equivalent).
Requirements: The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment.
The capability of working to the highest quality standards.
Great communication skills.
A full UK driving license.
Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable, but not essential.
VOSA-approved MOT testers an advantage but not essential.
Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent.
