Vat Accountant

Job Title VAT Accountant About the Role We are seeking a skilled VAT Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for 12 months.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns, managing VAT compliance queries, and reconciling general ledger sales.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly or annual VAT returns using Excel and/or indirect tax return preparation tool technology.
Requesting necessary VAT submission approvals from internal stakeholders.
Preparing VAT General Ledger reconciliation and following up on issues and open items.
Reconciling GL sales to reported VAT sales and following up on issues and open items.
Managing and assisting with VAT compliance queries from the business as necessary.
Your Background You should hold a relevant degree in Finance or have equivalent working experience.
You should have experience of VAT compliance in a multi-national tax environment.
SAP or Oracle experience is advantageous.
You should be able to successfully manage competing priorities.
You should demonstrate a team-orientated approach.

Estimated Salary £23.46 per hour PAYE.
