An exciting new opportunity is now available for our client in Exeter.
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer.
This is a entry role for a new graduate or a candidate with limited post study experience.
Salary is £25-£30K.
Start Date of January / February 2025 with interviews a 2 stage process commencing in the new year.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our small and highly dynamic team, you will take on a variety of responsibilities and challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, creating, and testing prototypes of new mechanical concepts for New Product Development (NPD).
Refining existing mechanical designs to improve assembly processes and manufacturing.
Producing manufacturing drawings in line with recognised industry standards.
Conducting performance analyses, including stress, fatigue, and modal analysis.
Performing vibration simulations using in-house software to evaluate the performance.
Developing and maintaining our in-house analysis toolkit through Python coding.
Preparing and maintaining technical reports and test documentation.
Supporting supply chain management activities.

Skills and experience
A relevant degree or equivalent industrial experience.
Proficiency in 3D modelling of components using SolidWorks or similar software.
Experience with data analysis tools such as Python or similar.
Familiarity with finite element analysis software, such as GSA.
