UX Research Associate - Covent Garden Permanent contract Full time; 40 hours per week Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum based on skills and experience Based in Covent Garden, London The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings.
Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries.
We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.
The Royal Opera House describes the place we work, not who we are.
The whole is always more than the sum of its parts - we may be a House, but three quarters of our audience experience what we do outside this building.
While our Covent Garden theatre is the nerve centre, the impact and influence of the organisation can be felt in every corner of the country, and around the world.
Understanding our global audience (their behaviours, preferences and habits) is central to our mission to engage more people with our art forms through programming and commercial development, as well as reporting accurately to our funders and supporters.
We are now looking to appoint a UX Research Associate who will work across the portfolio of RBO digital products to plan, prepare for, run, and analyse user research activities.
Your findings will support the design, development, accessibility and continuous improvement of digital services .
In this post, you will be required to choose appropriate research tools and methodologies to suit different projects and questions and collaborate with teams across the business to inspire design thinking and customer empathy in an agile, fast paced, iterative environment.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player, able to demonstrate: An understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, appreciating their limitations and when to apply them appropriately Some experience facilitating and running research, in a digital, marketing, academic or other capacity Experience analysing qualitative and quantitative data to produce actionable findings Good track record in delivering accurate, high-quality work to deadlines and to required standards Some experience challenging current practice where data from user research supports the need for change A relevant qualification or equivalent in HCI/Usability/Cognitive Psychology/Analytics or related field, or sufficient experience in order to be able to validate the tools and methodologies for each assignment will be highly regarded so please ensure you reference this in your application.
