Salary: £33,063 - £38,404 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family: - 37 hour working week.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time We are looking for a Utility Arboriculture Quality and Safety Inspector (QSI) to join our team, this key role is the interface between SSEN and utility arboriculture contractors working on our behalf.
The Quality and Safety Inspector (QSI) is responsible for overseeing the performance of tree cutting contractors working for SSEN, including the relevant administration associated with the projects.
In this role you will be instrumental in the initial survey of the overhead network to assess for vegetation infestation and overseeing the safety and compliance of the cutting teams working on the contractor maintenance tree cutting programme.
The QSI role covers a wide range of functions, key responsibilities include the following: - Project management including management of changes to planned works, approval of cut spans for payment and inspections of completed works.
- Conducting on-site safety audits and data reporting.
- Customer liaison including supporting contractor surveyors with gaining consents where landowners refuse tree cutting.
- Contractor coaching.
- Surveying to assess vegetation affection.
What do I need?
We're looking for a well organised, highly skilled individual who has a keen eye for detail and is looking to make a difference.
Ideally you will be safety driven, have a high level of self-organisation and be generally proactive in your approach.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: - Utility arboriculture knowledge and experience, including UA 1, UA5.1/5.2 is desirable but will be provided for the right applicant.
- Safety and customer focussed with excellent communication skills.
-Ability to identify inefficiencies and be able to suggest and implement improvements.
- IT literacy not limited to the Office 365 suite of applications.
- Full, clean, manual driving license.
