Utilities Engineer Orion are currently recruiting for an experienced Utilities Engineer for a FMCG company based in Wrexham.
This is a standalone position that offers a unique chance to make a significant impact by managing your own itinerary and taking charge of mechanical tasks, with a focus on facilities maintenance.
If you are passionate about installing new equipment, handling mechanical responsibilities, and contributing to a well-maintained industrial site, this role is for you.
Utilities Engineer Responsibilities: Installation of new equipment and machineryMechanical maintenance tasks, with a focus on facilitiesFire alarm testing and addressing related issuesGreasing roller shutter doors and monitoring readoutsBoiler maintenance workUtilizing the shire CMMS system for daily tasksCompleting tasks related to stock management and stores utilizationCovering sites on the Wrexham Industrial siteEngaging in facilities management for officesEnsuring there is a safe environment for those who work in, or visit, any of our manufacturing facilities.Effective delivery of proactive, planned-preventative maintenance on utilities such as Steam boilers, Fire alarm Tests &; Water treatment facilitiesUsing the CMMS systemIdentifying and delivering against opportunities to implement changes and continuous improvement projects to maximise plant efficiencies and energy optimisation.Supporting the introduction of new equipment to our market-leading production facilities as part of our continued drive for innovation.Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders, managing expectations where required.Ordering own spare parts for work where neededWorking jointly alongside our projects engineering team and maintenance team at multiple sites where necessaryUtilities Engineer Requirements: Ability to handle both electrical and mechanical tasks and free up electrical shift engineersExperience in a manufacturing background is essentialStrong understanding of fire alarm systems, roller shutter doors, and boilersFamiliarity with the shire CMMS systemIndependent and proactive approach to tasksEssentialDemonstrable experience within a similar engineering roleQualified electrically or mechanically (or time served)Proven desire and ability to deliver successPassion to learn new machinery and engage with machine manufacturers to build your skills and competenceGreat communicatorDriving LicenseIndustrial steam boiler knowledgeIT literateDesirableExperience in a food manufacturing environmentBOAS QualificationsL8 Qualifications Ensuring there is a safe environment for those who work in, or visit, any of our manufacturing facilities.Effective delivery of proactive, planned-preventative maintenance on utilities such as Steam boilers, Fire alarm Tests &; Water treatment facilitiesUsing the CMMS systemIdentifying and delivering against opportunities to implement changes and continuous improvement projects to maximise plant efficiencies and energy optimisation.Supporting the introduction of new equipment to our market-leading production facilities as part of our continued drive for innovation.Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders, managing expectations where required.Ordering own spare parts for work where neededWorking jointly alongside our projects engineering team and maintenance team at multiple sites where necessary Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 (DOE) per annum
