Job DescriptionMy client has an exciting opportunity to join their Centre as a Used Car Buyer.The Used Car Buyer will be an operational member of the Dealership Team and report to the Sales and Franchise Manager.
The role is primarily to purchase vehicles from multiple sources to assist the dealerships achieve their sales and financial targets.Your day Assisting the Sales Manager in ensuring that optimum used stock levels are maintained to maximise used car sales opportunities.Ensure that used cars are purchased at the correct market value reflecting their age and required preparation costs to comply with company policy.
Ensure the procurement and supply of quality used vehicles in order that sales departments can achieve financial and volume targetsDevelop approved relationships with manufacturers, auction houses and other trade contacts in pursuit of stock acquisitionMake purchases in line with the defined stock profile and individual requirements of each businessProvide advice and support to Sales Management in respect of retail and trade valuationsProvide detailed analysis/reports on purchase activityMonitor 60+ day stock and advise on price re-alignment and assist in disposal / inter-company transfersMonitor vehicle sales mix and volumes to ensure correct replenishment of stockConduct due diligence in respects of vehicle condition, service history, number of previous owners, outstanding finance, warranted mileage and previous accident damageEnsure compliance with the requirements of the Snows Approved Used Vehicle ProgrammeAlways operate within company policyMonitor and provide feedback on the trends and market conditions at auction Have you got what it takes?
