Psychiatric Expertise: Extensive experience and knowledge in adult psychiatry, including mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act, Code of Practice, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Codes of Capacity.
Effective Communicator: Outstanding communication skills, able to assess, interview, and treat patients while documenting clear, comprehensive notes.
Teamwork: A dedicated team player who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary setting.

Your day-to-day: Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive patient care.
Treatment Plan Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of patient treatment plans, working collaboratively with the MDT.
Referral Assessment: Conduct mental state examinations and assess referrals for service users, ensuring accurate diagnosis and appropriate care.
Clinical Oversight: Undertake essential investigations and implement tailored treatments for service users.
Quality Improvement: Participate actively in ward rounds and clinical audits, contributing to continuous quality improvement in patient care.
Risk Management: Lead risk assessments and risk management, embedding clinical governance principles.
Mental Health Act Involvement: Supervise and prepare reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers hearings; attend hearings as required.
On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rota, providing support when necessary.
