Unit Cadet Lead

Volunteering is a fantastic way to enhance your CV, meet new people, and learn lifesaving skills.
No one should die because they needed first aid and didn't get it. St John Ambulance (SJA) teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
As a youth leader, you will deliver development opportunities on behalf of SJA through one of our programmes for young people (Badgers, Cadets, Peer Education, Youth First Aid or RISE). This will involve supporting young people alongside other youth leaders, youth support leaders, and others. You will also take on responsibility for leading your youth section (either Cadets or Badgers) under a Unit Manager's direction.
Key Responsibilities: Attend unit management team meetings and regular catch-up meetings to support settling into the role.Lead your youth section under the guidance of the Unit Manager.Participate in competency-based interviews with the Unit Manager, a Youth Team representative, and a Youth Volunteer representative.Complete a person-centered induction following a successful interview.The closing date for this vacancy is Thursday 30th November 2023.
