UKCA Compliance Coordinator Warrington 12 month contract Inside IR35 We are seeking an experienced Project Regulatory Compliance Lead to oversee regulatory compliance and conformity assessments for critical pressure systems and machinery as part of a major infrastructure project within a highly regulated environment.
This role involves coordinating UKCA marking, ensuring alignment with UK product regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance across large-scale engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance Coordination: Lead compliance activities for UKCA-marked and nuclear-excluded pressure systems and machinery, ensuring adherence to applicable UK regulations, including the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations and the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations.
Drive compliance strategies aligned with project timelines and overall objectives.
Management of Compliance Documentation: Maintain and update key project documents, including the UKCA Marking Strategy and Product Boundary Definition.
Manage relationships with Approved Bodies and coordinate activities for specific conformity assessment modules.
Technical File Production and Review: Work closely with project teams and fabricators to oversee the preparation and review of Technical Files according to regulatory standards.
Coordinate design reviews and manage the sign-off of Conformity Assessments and Declarations.
Advisory and Liaison Role: Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance and applicable standards, supporting engineering teams in meeting regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Authorized Persons on compliance issues and technical file reviews.
Leadership and Coordination: Direct teams in performing conformity assessments for machinery, pressure systems, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with UK and EU standards.
Lead initiatives that foster regulatory excellence and uphold safety standards across project teams.
Qualifications and Experience Required: Educational Background: Relevant degree required, with professional chartership or equivalent extensive experience in a regulated industry.
Experience: Significant experience in a regulatory compliance role, ideally within environments requiring CE Marking, UKCA Marking, and adherence to EU Harmonised and UK Designated Standards.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Conformity Assessment for pressure systems, machinery, and associated equipment.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams in achieving compliance goals within complex engineering projects.
