Position Summary Our Adjuster Assistants are an integral part of our Major and Complex Loss teams.
When you join, you'll be working in partnership with M&CL Adjusters in the field, supporting them with their claims portfolio in coordinating appointments, claims instructions, information for reports and enquiries.We also offer personal development with full exam and study support, promotional opportunities and a fully inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities You'll be the first contact with claimants and brokers/agents to discuss the claim as required, often of high value and a complex nature, managing instructions with your exceptional interpersonal skills and creating good client relationships built around trust, respect and speedy resolution of assignments.A large part of the role will be coordinating appointments and diary management alongside coordinating instructions for emergency work as required, such as instructions to contractors.
You'll also provide support with task lists, letters, reports and any technical queries and have the opportunity to be involved with projects and oversee caseloads in Adjusters absence.Some claimants may require alternative accommodation, so you'll ensure the reduction of claims lifecycles to reduce costs by proactive management and challenge building scopes and variations when required.

Additionally, we'd like you to have:Ideally experience of handling commercial property claims or similar, although we'd welcome applications from those within a brokerage or similarKnowledge of the insurance claims process and how your role will relate to thisAbility to negotiate with claimants using a variety of methods in line with TCF and Client requirements Good IT skills with MS office suitaeExceptional organisational skills, with the ability multi task to a detailed levelGood communication skills with all stakeholdersAbility to communicate effectively and persuasively whilst ensuring excellent customer serviceAbility to work in a structured manner to drive for quality High personal standards of service delivery as a core skill.Ability to empathise and communicate at all levels Evidenced ability to plan and organise workload.Due to the nature of our work, this role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check Need help finding the right job?
