WHAT TO EXPECTAs our Finance team grows, we're thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity.
As the UK Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager working full-time from our Cramlington facility you will be responsible for accounting, statutory reporting and audits, including oversight of the recording and reporting of financial transactions of all Gates entities in the UK.
Providing leadership, guidance and direction to the accounting team and being an active member of the EMEA finance team shaping the UK and regional finance agenda.Key responsibilities: Ensuring the integrity of the financial and management accounting as well as reporting for the UK entities to meet local, regional, and global statutory and regulatory compliance.Working with the Regional Chief Accountant and Global Controls & Compliance team to ensure the UK has no control deficiencies.Working closely with the UK Operations Finance team to ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and internal policies.Keep up to date with changes in relevant accounting standards.Supporting the UK Tax manager with Corporation tax filings and providing the necessary accounting analysis or reportingOversee VAT returns and compliance for all UK entities.Responsibility for all control activities where you are the process owner and that are subject to Sarbanes-Oxley Act 404 Compliance: To ensure that the work is performed in line with the documented control activities.ABOUT YOURequired Experience:Extensive accounting proficiency covering statutory and consolidated reporting, with an understanding of US GAAP being beneficial.
Experience of SAP and Oracle HFM would be advantageous.Required Skills:Accountant accredited with ACA/ACCAMinimum five years of industry experience required.WHY GATES?Founded in 1911 in Denver, Colorado, Gates is publicly traded on the NYSE.
