The Job Role: Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Dairy Sales Representative to join their team who are dedicated to providing high-quality equipment solutions for dairy farms.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in agricultural sales, particularly in dairy farm products, and have a passion for animal care and comfort.
This role involves selling new equipment, managing existing customer relationships, demonstrating products to prospective customers, conducting cold calls, and delivering essential items to clients.
Location: Remote based with travel across the UK Salary Package: £55,000 - £60,000 basic salary + Car Allowance Key Responsibilities As A Dairy Sales Representative: Sales and Business Development: Sell new equipment to dairy farms, focusing on meeting customer needs and enhancing their operational efficiency.
Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling and networking within the dairy farming community.
Product Demonstration: Conduct product demonstrations for prospective customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our equipment.
Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and concerns of each customer.
Customer Support and Service: Provide excellent customer service by being responsive to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
Advise customers on best practices related to animal care, udder care, sanitization, hygiene, and milk quality to maximise the effectiveness of our products.
Logistics and Delivery: Deliver certain items directly to farms, ensuring that equipment is set up and functioning correctly.
Manage travel logistics, as the role may require being away from home up to 25% of the time based on customer location.
Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory management.
Provide regular updates to management on sales performance and market trends.
Candidate Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales, specifically selling products to dairy farms.
Strong understanding of animal care, udder care, sanitization, hygiene, and milk quality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
Must have reliable transportation for travel to customer sites and deliveries.
Must be willing and able to travel within England, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
A valid driving license and proof of reliable transportation are required.
