Position Summary To be responsible for handling a mix of pre-and post-litigation fraud cases from both a defence and recoveries perspective.Role operates within Counter-Fraud teamInvolves running a mixed case load of fraud recoveries and defence Functional Knowledge Previous civil litigation experience is essential with at least 2 years experienceExperience of working in a teamPrevious experience working within the insurance sectorExperience of working in a fast paced environment.Ability to interpret and input data accurately and efficientlyAbility to demonstrate initiativeProfessional and confident telephone manner General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications The role requires relevant litigation experience working in a legal environment, preferably within the insurance sectorLPC or equivalent is an advantage, but applicant with relevant experience without a degree/LPC would be considered Key Responsibilities Draft Court Proceedings / documents Adhere to Court directions and deadlinesWork to set priorities, create clear plans and manage work to meet Client needsEngage in effective negotiationManage a Litigation Caseload/Pre litigation Case Load, with a view to driving claims to litigation or settlementDealing with litigated ClaimsMaintain management informationEnsuring that all case reserves are completed in accordance with the specific client's reserving philosophyPerform legal and factual researchKeeping up to date with relevant legal documents & relevant CaselawDay to day supervision of casesResponsible for individual performanceTraining and developing junior staff Behaviours Professional, confidential and discrete.Team player.Shows initiative.Adheres to the company value and culture.
