We're on an ambitious journey to revolutionise the user experience of our software, and we're looking for a talented UI Designer to join us.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and passionate UI Designer to focus on the visual design aspects of our events management software. You will work with our Senior UX/UI Designer, as well as our Product Lead and Development Lead, to help us build intuitive and visually stunning features. Your role will be pivotal in elevating the aesthetic quality of our products while ensuring a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities: Visual Design Excellence:
Create high-fidelity visual designs for web and mobile applications.
Develop visually appealing interfaces that align with our brand and resonate with our corporate clients.
Ensure consistency in visual elements across the product suite.
Support our Marketing team with high-quality templates and designs for our Marketing website and assets.Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with the Senior UX/UI Designer to translate UX wireframes and prototypes into polished UI designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to implement innovative design solutions.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine designs.Design System Contribution:
Assist in maintaining and evolving our design system and style guides.
Produce design assets and specifications for development teams.Creative Innovation:
Bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to design challenges.
Stay updated on the latest UI design trends, tools, and technologies.
Experiment with new design concepts to enhance user engagement.Support UX Efforts:
Collaborate on UX tasks as needed, including user research and usability testing.
Understand user needs and incorporate UX principles into UI designs.Qualifications and Skills: Experience:
3-5 years of professional experience in UI design.
Proven track record of creating visually compelling designs for web and mobile platforms.Portfolio:
A strong, well-presented portfolio showcasing your best UI design work.
Examples that demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and proficiency in visual design.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Understanding of responsive design principles and ability to create designs for various screen sizes.
Knowledge of UX principles and practices, being able to create visual diagrams for complex UI behaviour, such as user journeys.Creative Skills:
Strong sense of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design challenges.Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory):
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Illustration or animation skills.Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.
