Job Title: UASC ESOL Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Brentwood Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of UASC learners Assess students' language proficiency and progress regularly Provide additional support and guidance to students as needed Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the ESOL programme Required Qualifications: Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL) Experience in teaching ESOL to diverse student groups Understanding of the specific challenges faced by UASC learners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of ESOL teaching methodologies and best practises Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment Strong organisational and time management skills Fluency in English and knowledge of other languages is advantageous Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with UASC or refugee populations Additional qualifications in Special Education or Multicultural Education Working Conditions: The UASC ESOL Tutor role involves working in a classroom or home setting with UASC learners.  All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
