Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Tyre Performance Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. This role is responsible for supporting the race team in tyre performance optimization at each event, both at the track and from the factory. This includes assisting in the development of bespoke tools for analyzing tyre performance, as well as contributing to continuous improvement of operational processes at the factory and at the track. This role is also responsible for assisting with tyre testing activities and tyre model correlation, as well as providing engineering support for car development, looking at future years for expected tyre performance and behavior. Principal Accountabilities: Supporting the race team in tyre performance optimization and tyre management during the event (either trackside or from the factory). Completing mandatory tyre reporting on time and to a high standard Assisting development of tyre performance tools, methods, and infrastructure Continuously improving operational processes at the track and the factory Developing and maintaining department administration and reporting procedures Assisting with tyre testing activities and tyre model correlation Looking at future years for expected tyre performance and behavior Requirements Strong understanding of physics and math relating to high performance vehicles. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with minimal errors. Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Experience in performing data analysis, including data cleaning, transformation, and visualization, using Python, R, or equivalent. Honesty, transparency, and integrity in all aspects of work. Excellent interpersonal skills and eagerness to contribute positively to an open and inclusive culture.
