Are you a passionate tutor with a flair for engaging and exploratory teaching?
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to introduce a Year 10 student to Spanish, Science, and Business Studies in a flexible and supportive alternative provision setting in Fareham.
The Role: Subjects : Introductory lessons in Spanish , Science , and Business Studies Focus : Engaging sessions to spark the student's curiosity and interest, rather than in-depth academic instruction Schedule : Monday : 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (2 hours) Tuesday : 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM (2.5 hours) Wednesday : 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM (2.5 hours) Friday : 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (2 hours) Total Hours : 9 hours per week, spread across four days Start Date : Immediate, with sessions continuing until 20th December 2024 (subject to review) Baseline Assessment : Conduct a brief initial assessment to gauge the student's engagement level and tailor the approach accordingly.
What We're Looking For: Experience : Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support is essential.
Skills : Ability to create a positive, adaptive, and engaging learning environment that accommodates the unique needs of the student.
Flexibility : Comfortable with adapting lessons based on student interest and response.
Patience & Empathy : A supportive approach to working with students who require additional emotional and educational support.
Desirable : While specific expertise in Spanish, Science, and Business Studies is not required, enthusiasm for these subjects and the ability to make learning enjoyable is a must.
