Leisure & Culture Dundee is recruiting Trustees to join its Board.

Based in Dundee, Leisure & Culture Dundee (L&CD) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) responsible for managing and delivering leisure, sports, cultural, library, and support services across the city.
Established in 2011, L&CD aims to enhance Dundee's citizens' and visitors' quality of life by providing high-quality leisure, cultural, and sports experiences.

L&CD is committed to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, reflecting the diversity of the communities it serves.

The Role As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction, governance, and performance monitoring of L&CD.
Trustees collaborate with the Senior Management Team, bringing expertise and enthusiasm to guide the organisation's goals and uphold its values.

Trustees are also expected to act as ambassadors, enhancing the reputation of L&CD and maintaining high standards of governance as outlined by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

Key Skills & Experience L&CD welcomes applicants with:
Knowledge of some or all aspects of the purpose of Leisure & Culture Dundee Ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation.
Understanding of the role of a Trustee in relation to the operational roles of staff, corporate responsibility and other duties.
Enthusiasm and commitment to the general aims of Leisure & Culture Dundee: "To deliver, for the citizens of Dundee, and those who visit the City, high-quality leisure, sport and cultural experiences which improve their quality of life." Additional Qualities To achieve a balance of experience and interests, Leisure & Culture Dundee is particularly interested in hearing from people with particular skills in the following areas:
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Health and Wellbeing Sector; Fundraising and commercialisation Additional qualities include strong communication and decision-making skills, financial acumen, and the ability to scrutinise and evaluate performance.

Time Commitment & Terms Trustees will be expected to attend a Board meeting no more frequently than once every two months.

Trustees will also be expected to attend and participate in one of the committees of the Board which will meet on a similar frequency.

The time commitment for Trustees has averaged two days per month.

Most meetings will require some additional time to read prepared papers which will be sent out a week in advance of the meeting.
